Dr. McKenzie Brekken is a provider at MercyOne Clear Lake Family Medicine.
"I was born and raised in North Iowa and take improving the health and wellness of the people who live in our communities very seriously. I chose to pursue a career in family medicine because I enjoy patients of all ages and each stage of life," said McKenzie.
Dr. Brekken received her medical degree from Des Moines University-Osteopathic Medical Center in Des Moines, IA.
"Preventative medicine is an area of practice I am very passionate about so when I can sit down with a patient and discuss how we can work together to improve their health, both now and in years to come, it's always a great day!" she added.
In her free time, Dr. Brekken enjoys spending time with her family outside and traveling.
